Privacy Policy
TheKellyGShop ("we," "us") makes an app that helps thrift resellers identify items, estimate resale value, and track their buying trips and sales. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@thekellygshop.com.
What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you create an account, or the name and email from your Google account if you sign in with Google.
- Photos you take or choose: pictures of items and price tags you scan in the app.
- Your shopping and sales records: trips, stores, items, prices paid, notes, saved "maybe" items, and sales you record.
- Subscription information: if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We receive only your subscription status, never your full card number.
- Basic technical information: like any website, our server keeps standard logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) for security and troubleshooting.
The app does not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and it does not show ads.
How we use it
- To identify items from your photos and estimate their resale value.
- To save your trips, photos, and sales so they're backed up and available on any device you sign in on.
- To run your account and subscription, and to answer support requests.
- To keep the service secure and working properly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who helps us run the service
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data only to provide their service to us:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, and secure storage of your account data and photos.
- Anthropic — item identification and price research. Item photos and descriptions you submit for identification are sent to this service for processing.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Bluehost — website hosting.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your trips, items, photos, sales history, and account record are deleted from our systems right away. Standard server logs are kept for a limited time and then removed.
Your choices
- Delete your account: in the app, open the account menu and tap Delete Account, or see how to request deletion.
- Access or correct your data: most of your information can be viewed and edited in the app, and trips and sales can be exported as CSV files. For anything else, email us.
- Use without an account: you can use the app without signing in. In that case your data stays only on your device and is not backed up.
Security
Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that allow only your signed-in account to read or change it. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
TheKellyGShop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
